How to prevent customers from seeing all CC'd emails on a Contact Us message
There are two reasons why we include all the emails into the Contact Us email chain:
- this way any person receiving that email, will be able to reply directly to the customer
- all the people on the chain will be able to follow the chain if there is a back-and-forth with the customer
The only way for us to mask the other email addresses is to include them as "bcc:", but that has a downside - it will appear like the email has been sent individually to every single one of those addresses.
We believe the best way to address this issue is to keep the website's functionality as-is. Instead, you can create a Google email group that can have its own email address - for example, support@madanim.com. That would not be a real email address - it would just serve as a channel to then distribute the email message among the group members. Then we can add that email address to the website's settings instead of the whole list of emails that is there now, and customers will no longer see them.
